At the start of the school year, the new teacher was given one very specific piece of advice from her more experienced colleagues:
“Never—under any circumstances—make a bet with Little Johnny. Unless you’re 100% sure you’ll win.”

She chuckled at the warning, thinking it was just part of the usual teacher gossip. But it wouldn’t be long before she realized they weren’t joking.
