1. The Letter That Stopped Dad’s Heart
One evening, a father walked past his teenage son’s room and stopped in surprise. The place was spotless—something that almost never happened. Then he spotted an envelope on the pillow with just one word written on it: “Dad.” His stomach tightened as he carefully opened it.
Dear Dad,
By the time you read this, I’ll be gone.
I’ve run away to be with the love of my life, Stacy. I know you and Mom wouldn’t approve—she’s older, covered in tattoos, and rides a motorcycle. But Dad, it’s more than love. Stacy’s expecting a baby, and we’ve decided to live in her cabin deep in the woods. She’s stocked up on firewood, so we’ll be warm all winter.
Stacy has also opened my eyes to a different lifestyle. We’ll grow our own plants and trade them with friends for… well, other interesting things. And don’t worry about her health—she believes science will soon find a cure for everything. She’s fearless, and I’ll stand by her side no matter what.
I know I’m only fifteen, but I’m ready to be a father and build a life with her. Someday I’ll bring our children to meet you and Mom.

As her husband slipped on his coat to head out, his wife called after him with a teasing grin, “I bet you don’t even remember what day it is!”
He paused, smiled confidently, and said, “Of course I do, how could I forget?” before leaving the house—already plotting how to prove himself.
At ten in the morning, a delivery arrived: a magnificent bouquet of long-stemmed roses.
By early afternoon, another surprise—an elegant box of her favorite chocolates.
At three o’clock, yet another knock on the door: a boutique package holding a gorgeous designer dress.
By the time her husband returned home, his wife was practically glowing with happiness. She threw her arms around him and said, “The flowers, the chocolates, the dress—this has been the most wonderful Groundhog Day ever!”
His triumphant grin faltered. “Wait… Groundhog Day?”
